Christopher Naylor is the head of a team of dedicated cooks who all have great love for their craft. The kitchen team consists of experienced chefs with knowledge, and ambitious young cooks full of fresh ideas. Christopher started his cooking career with the now ‘God Farther’ of the British kitchens Albert Roux.

After working with Roux in London, Amsterdam and New York he settled in Amsterdam. His culinary journey continued with Robert Kranenborg in restaurant ‘la Rive’** and the Vossius* and Le Cirque*. Christopher began his reign over the Vermeer kitchen in 2005.

It has been a roller coaster ride that has resulted in the achievement of the Michelin star in November 2010. The cooking style in Restaurant Vermeer begins always with the respect for the product and the supplier or farmer. The dishes aim to show at all times the pure product; taste is foremost then technique and presentation.
